FVLD Congress Expedition

McDowell Sonoran Reserve
Take a moment to explore the natural beauty of Arizona before the start of Annual Congress. Drs. Nick Morrison, Kathleen Gibson and Mark Meissner will lead a group hike on a 4.5 mile loop trail around the McDowell Sonoran Reserve. A shuttle to the trailhead will be provided along with a t-shirt and water bottle.
All proceeds go to support the Foundation for Venous & Lymphatic Disease!
Overview: A 4.5 mile loop that wanders up to a low saddle before winding back to the Gateway Trailhead. The length and grade changes make this a moderately difficult hike, but one worth trying. Make your way at an enjoyable pace while enjoying the wildflowers and wildlife. Kids with hiking experience may be able to enjoy this hike.

Elevation Gain: 650 feet
Estimated Trip: 2 hours
What to Bring: Sturdy shoes, preferably hiking shoes with good grip, plenty of water and sunscreen.
